From December 1937 to June 1940, Mujahid Hussain performed the duties of Quaid-e-Azam's unpaid stenographer. It should be noted that Mujahid Hussain was the father of Pakistan's famous cricket commentator Chishti Mujahid. Mujahid Hussain started his civil service as a clerk in the British government and progressed to become the Giant Secretary in the Ministry of Law of Pakistan in 1963. Mujahid Hussain has recorded some important observations of his life in his and his Begum Subh Mujahid's book called "Relationships of Souls". They felt distant and unreal
Begum Shaista Ikramullah, Syed Hashim Raza, Khawaja Shahabuddin, Dr. Fazil Mumtaz Hasan, Ahdoket Khalid Ishaq, etc. have comments on this book. The first edition of this book was published in 1974. While the second edition was published in 1978 by the famous Offset Press. Published by Karachi. In the chapter of this book, "Raaz-e-Dron Purda", there is an incident attributed to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, which shows the truthfulness and sincerity, honesty and truth, greatness, character, and principle of the Quaid-e-Azam. Mazhar. According to Mujahid Hussain, he had become so proficient in typing that his speed was two hundred and twenty words per minute. In those days, there was a test for the post of stenographer in the E, H&L department, in which You came first and sat down believing that the appointment was ready. But after a few days, it came to know that another gentleman had been appointed to that place. He was recommended by a minister. You write that I also used this recipe. I wanted to do it and requested the Quaid-i-Azam to recommend me to Sir Shah Sulaiman so that the work would be done.
Mujahid Hussain says that, contrary to expectations, he became very angry and said: "What do you think, I am an employment agency!" Before I could say anything, he thought of something and mentioned an incident. Whatever happened between the Finance Member of the Government of India and him in relation to nominating Muslim candidates for the posts? Sir Basil Blackett was the Finance Member at that time and there were a few vacancies in the Indian Audit and Accounts Service. It is not known whether there were any vacancies. However, the Finance Member told me that Mr. Jinnah was not finding suitable Muslims for these posts. Help yourself and suggest a few names. If Mr. Jinnah had been replaced by someone else, he would have given ten names for three posts, but you know what I said. You are also a finance member of the government. It is your and your government's job to find employment for them, what does that have to do with me? There is no shortage of capable Muslims, provided you employ them. Want to give? The finance member of the Government of India understood where the direction of the wind is! I would never make any recommendations to anyone.
After this tragedy, I had the honor of attending the Quaid-i-Azam's service many times, even meeting him two or three times in Pakistan. He did not extend his hand for intercession from others. Of course, when needed, he would intercede with himself. By: Subh Mujahid, Mujahid Hussain, second edition, 1978, Famous Offset Press, Karachi)
